CCTV appeal after man injured in metal pole attack

Police have issued CCTV images following reports of an assault in Staple Hill

A CCTV image has been released by police after a man was reportedly attacked with a metal pole.
The man, who is aged in his mid 20s, needed stitches after sustaining a three-inch cut to his face in the incident outside William Hill on Staple Hill High Street in Bristol at around 03:15 BST on 6 September.
Avon and Somerset Police, who are treating the incident as an assault causing grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon, have now released an image of two women and a man who they wish to speak to.
Describing it as an "awful incident", a police spokesperson said they believe those pictured may hold "information relevant" to their enquiries.
"We would appeal to anybody who recognises them to contact us," they added.
Both women shown in the CCTV image have been described as white and around 20 years old.
One is described as slim, with brown hair, wearing dark clothing and carrying a red pole.
The second is also described as slim, with short brown hair and wearing a black coat and patterned trousers. She was also carrying a pole.
The pictured man is described as white, around 20 years old, of slim build and wearing a dark tracksuit and had a black rucksack.
