A man has been charged with murder after stabbings in Coventry.
Police found two men with serious stab wounds at an address on Newcombe Road, shortly before 14:00 GMT on Saturday.
Anthony Wilson, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second man, in his 50s, was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing facial injuries.
The West Midlands force said it had since charged James Ritchie, 51, of no fixed address, with murder and attempted murder.
In tribute to Mr Wilson, his family said: "We are profoundly sorry that his life has been taken in his way.
"The tragic circumstances are particularly distressing and we are grateful to learn of the help and support received at the time from his neighbours and friends."
Mr Ritchie was remanded to appear before Coventry Magistrates' Court on Monday.
