Police in Guernsey have said officers will be conducting high visibility patrols in the lead-up to Christmas.
Bailiwick Law Enforcement said there was an "enhanced police presence" in St Peter Port on Thursday for late-night shopping.
The force urged people to speak to officers if they needed to.
"The enhanced police presence is nothing to worry about. We're there just in case you do need us," it said.
Officers said two children were arrested on Wednesday night on suspicion of throwing eggs at Marks and Spencer's.
The force said: "While this may sound like a minor incident, anti-social behaviour is something that materially changes the community we live in, which is why we will continue to take it very seriously."
