Man in his 30s dies after fire in west Belfast

A man in his 30s has died after a fire at a flat in west Belfast on Monday, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has said.

Police were notified of the fire in Carrigart Avenue shortly before 12.30 BST and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) extinguished the blaze.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) took the man to hospital but he later died.

Police say enquires are ongoing.
