More than 4,000 people have paid to walk through fields of flowers belonging to a company which specialises in selling petals and dried bouquets since Saturday.

Shropshire Petal sells them to people celebrating weddings and other occasions and opens up its fields to visitors every summer.

Earlier in the year there had been concerns the wet weather could threaten the event, but it was able to go ahead.

The Shropshire Petal Fields event will run until Sunday.

The 25-acre grounds, the equivalent of 400 tennis courts, are filled with delphiniums, cornflowers, sunflowers and wildflowers among others.

Visitors have been taken on a trail through the fields and the neighbouring woods.
