Tributes have been paid to a "friendly and kind" agricultural depot worker who died at work as an investigation into the incident continues.

John Prodger, 65, from the Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant area of Powys, died at the Wynnstay Depot in Llansantffraid, on Monday.

Police said his sudden death was not being treated as suspicious, but inquiries to establish the full circumstances were ongoing.

Mr Prodger's family said they were "distraught" by the loss of their "loving husband, father, and grandfather".

"He lived life to the full and will be remembered for his friendly nature and kindness.

"John worked at Wynnstay for nearly 40 years and will be sadly missed by all his colleagues."

Dyfed-Powys Police said it was investigating alongside the Health and Safety Executive after officers were called to the scene just after 06:20 GMT on Monday.
