A police dog has helped officers seize a haul of suspected cocaine and heroin hidden in a car in Kent.

Hudson was deployed to help investigate a vehicle detained on Joyce Green Lane, Dartford, on Tuesday.

During the inspection, the Labrador alerted officers to a door handle inside the car, where about 150 deals of suspected heroin and cocaine were found in a hidden compartment.

A 22-year-old man and a woman, aged 20, both from South Ockendon, Essex, were arrested and taken into custody before being released on police bail.

Cash and mobile phones were also seized from the car and an investigation is ongoing, said Kent Police.
