Town centre regeneration work to get under way

The next phase of a multi-million pound project to revamp a town centre in Derbyshire is set to begin later this year.
The regeneration project, called Revitalising the Heart of Chesterfield, is due for completion in 2025.
Building work this summer will include a new layout of Chesterfield's Market Square with new stalls for traders.
Other work due to start in the summer will take place at the town's New Square, Rykneld Square, Spire Walk and Corporation Street.
'Positive times ahead'
The project has already seen work start on the refurbishment of Stephenson Memorial Hall, as well as improvements to Packers Row.
It is hoped the plans for New Square will turn it into a space that could be used to host festivals, events, cultural celebrations and community gatherings.
The regeneration of Rykneld Square is also part of the plans, which aim to better connect the famous Crooked Spire church to the town centre.
New lighting, digital facilities, seating, greenery and signage will feature across the regeneration sites, Chesterfield Borough Council added.
Councillor Kate Sarvent, cabinet member for town centres and visitor economy, said: "A lot of work has been happening behind the scenes to get to this stage, including ongoing conversations with our market traders, businesses and residents, and we're excited to look ahead to a start on site in the summer.
"Chesterfield certainly has positive times ahead, with the major refurbishment work at Stephenson Memorial Hall – home to our beloved theatre and museum – also progressing well."
