Images of tumbling poppies will be projected on to a cathedral's walls to reflect on the end of both world wars and looking to peace.
Poppy Fields will fill the old stone walls inside Winchester Cathedral with a sea of tumbling flowers.
The light show is accompanied by music and poetry recordings read by Oscar-winning actor, Eddie Redmayne.
The cathedral described it as an "emotional show which takes you on a journey of reflection and hope".
The cathedral's West Window, which is created from fragments of glass, will be lit with projection to reflect the symbolic human spirit to rebuild and survive.
The window was shattered during the Civil War - the shards of glass were gathered up and remade into the window.
The light and sound show created by Luxmuralis also includes a tribute to the NHS looking at nursing through the years up to the role nurses play today.
The cathedral said the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal will be collecting at the event.
Poppy Fields can be seen from 31 October - 4 November from 18:45 each evening.
