Accessibility tool added to council website

Cornwall Council has added a new "accessibility and language tool" to its website to make it easier for users.
The tool, called Recite Me, provided a range of options to ensure website visitors could access its online content and services "barrier-free", the council said.
It includes a screen reading functionality, multiple reading aids, customisable styling options and live translations.
The council said it was working on adding Cornish to the 100 languages available on the translation feature.
'Accessible for all'
Tracie Langley, the council's chief operating officer, said being able to offer an "inclusive experience" was essential for supporting people who "may encounter barriers due to having a disability, learning difficulty, visual impairment or if they speak English as a second language".
"We are committed to ensuring all customers can access information and services in a way that best meets their individual needs," she said.
Ross Linnett, founder and chief executive of Recite Me, said: "As more organisations provide accessibility tools online, those who face online barriers can access information and services hassle-free.
"The digital world must be accessible for all."
