Former teacher charged with sexual abuse

A former teacher has been charged following allegations of non-recent sexual abuse at a school near Tunbridge Wells, police say.

Kent Police said the offences are reported to have taken place occurred between 1979 and 1985, at Holmewood House Prep School in Langton Green.

In May Neil Scott, of St Austell, Cornwall, was charged with four counts of indecent assault and five counts of gross indecency with a child.

On Tuesday the 75-year-old pleaded not guilty to all counts at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court.

Mr Scott was bailed to next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 9 July.
