Pair jailed over county lines drugs operation

Two men have been jailed for their part in county lines drug dealing.
Admar McKenzie, 23, and Oshane Morrison, 30, were each sentenced to three years at Hull Crown Court.
The pair were involved in transporting drugs from the West Midlands to the Hull area, prosecutors said.
Humberside Police said the sentences "send a clear message” to those involved in the supply of drugs.
McKenzie pleaded guilty to charges of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin at an earlier hearing.
Morrison was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, heroin and possession of criminal property and pleaded not guilty but was jailed after a four-day trial.
Both men are from the West Midlands.
'Off our streets'
Investigations began in March 2021 when officers visited an address in Esk Crescent, Hull, following reports of a disturbance.
Three men were said to have fled the scene before officers found Morrison hiding in a garden in Brooklyn Avenue.
Officers also found a quantity of class A drugs and Morrison was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and possession of a knife.
Mobile phones were also seized and police said it became clear the pair were operating a county lines drug operation.
Det Insp Matt Grantham, of Humberside Police, said: “Drugs bring untold misery and crime to our communities.
"By putting McKenzie and Morrison behind bars we have been able to bring their drug dealing to an end.
“I am reassured that both men are now off our streets and are now facing a significant amount of time in prison for their crimes.”
