A new garden centre will be built as part of a store’s expansion on a Shrewsbury retail park.

The Range has been granted planning permission to build an extension to its outlet on Sundorne Retail Park.

The new garden centre will be built on a section of the car park, with 11 spaces lost as part of the development.

Approving the plans, Shropshire Council said the loss of car parking would not be detrimental to the site.

The new retail area will measure 444 square metres and will be positioned to the right of the existing building.

Alterations will also be made to the fire exit as part of the plans.
