Police investigation after double stabbing in street

Police said a fight broke out in Wilford Street in the early hours of Sunday

Two people have been stabbed in a fight in Nottingham city centre.
Nottinghamshire Police said it was called to Wilford Street shortly before 04:00 BST on Sunday.
The force said several people were involved in a fight and the two people who were stabbed had been taken to hospital.
Five men, aged between 24 and 40, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

Det Insp Lisa Jones said: “Officers are carrying out an extensive and thorough investigation to determine what has happened.
"We believe the fight broke out as people were leaving a private event at the I-Club.
“A cordon is in place while we investigate the incident."
