Man who launched unprovoked bar attack jailed

A man who "brutally" punched his victim in an unprovoked attack in a Doncaster bar has been jailed.
Lee Dove, 37, left the man with a fractured skull and "only a small chance of survival" after the attack in February, police said.
Officers said Dove, from Balby, caused two traumatic bleeds on the brain after the two-punch attack.
At Sheffield Crown Court on Friday, he admitted wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent and was jailed for two years and nine months.
Dove, of Greenfield Lane, left the man in a critical condition in hospital, with the punches launched "without warning", South Yorkshire Police said.
The attack was captured on bar CCTV, with Dove fleeing the scene. He was arrested at his home two hours later.
Det Insp Mark Nicholson-Gee said: "His victim was left unconscious and bleeding out on the floor.
"He must have been in an unimaginable amount of pain during what must have been an incredibly traumatic experience."
He added: "I am pleased to say that the victim has since been discharged from hospital and is making a full recovery."
