A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the death of a Sunderland woman.
Melissa Eastick, 36, was found dead in Stockton Terrace, in the Grangetown area of the city, on 17 October 2023.
Stephen Todd, 41, of Howick Park, Sunderland, appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
He was remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance at Newcastle Crown Court on 22 March.
A 38-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed, faces no further action, police said.
