A van has been "completely destroyed" after going up in flames, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service says.
The service said it received multiple calls at about 14:00 BST reporting a vehicle fire on Winner Hill in Paignton.
It said the commercial vehicle containing white goods was "well alight in a narrow part of the road".
The vehicle was destroyed and there was some damage to nearby hedges and a streetlight, it added.
The fire service said crews were able to extinguish the blaze and ensure it did not spread to nearby properties.
There were no reports of any injuries.
