Police are investigating after three people were assaulted in Leicester.

Officers were called to Thurncourt Road in the early hours of Monday.

Just before 02:30 BST, it was reported that a 16-year-old boy and a man in his 20s had been attacked.

Leicestershire Police said it was later established an 18-year-old woman, who left the area before officers arrived, was also assaulted.

None of the injuries sustained were life-threatening or life-changing, police added.

Thurncourt Road, between Nursery Road and Brook Road, has been closed in both directions while inquiries at the scene continue.

The force said the investigation was not connected to a nearby incident in Radiant Road on Thursday, in which a woman was found dead in a bungalow.
