Hull KR submit plan for 1,000-seat temporary stand

Almost 1,000 extra seats could be added to Hull's Craven Park after plans were submitted to build a temporary stand.
Hull Kingston Rovers wants to add the additional seating next to the existing East Stand.
The plans, which would boost capacity by 997, were initially revealed in September, shortly before Coldplay announced they would play two concerts at the venue on 18 and 19 August 2025.
Speaking at the time club chief executive Paul Lakin said the application would "not only allow us to increase the capacity, but enable future permanent developments, and make sure we can still run 25,000 capacity concerts".
Mr Lakin said the decision had been partly driven by "huge demand for games", which he described as a "good problem to have".
Hull KR ace Wigan Warriors at the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford later after a largely positive season for fans.
If approved, the club said the stand would be built in January 2025 and reamin in place for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
The temporary stand will include an improved viewing platform for disabled spectators, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service,
Hull City Council will now evaluate the planning application and decide if the stand is to be granted planning permission.
