Three men and a woman have been charged following a house fire in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

No-one was seriously injured in the fire on Protheroe Street, Ferndale, during the early hours of Monday morning, but some residents were evacuated and treated for smoke inhalation, South Wales Police said.

Auryn Gustar, 19, Connor Pitt, 23, and Storm Truman, 19, have all been charged with arson with intent to endanger life, while Alfie Wheeler, 18, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life and possession of a sharp pointed article in a public place.

The police said all four, from the Weston-Super-Mare area, remain in police custody.
