Fans of Wallace & Gromit will be able to see 53 sculptures together before they go up for auction in October.

Giant versions of Aardman characters Wallace, Gromit and Feathers McGraw, along with new character Norbot, the smart gnome – have been on display in a trail across Bristol since the end of June.

They will all be gathered outside The Mall at Cribbs Causeway from 13 September for two weeks.

The trail, called Gromit Unleashed, raises money for The Grand Appeal, which supports Bristol Children's Hospital by funding research, helping families and paying for life-saving equipment. It ends on 31 August.

This is the third Gromit Unleashed trail – the first was unveiled in 2013.

The trails have raised more than £20m for The Grand Appeal to date, thanks to auction sales and donations.

Nicola Masters, director of The Grand Appeal, said: "It's the one and only time to see all 53 large sculptures together before they go off to auction."

She told BBC Radio Bristol that 100 Norbot sculptures painted by local pupils will also be displayed before returning to schools.

Four miniature Wallace, Gromit and Feathers McGraw artefacts, currently hidden within Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, will also be on display.

"People are being incredibly generous when they're out and about on the trail," Ms Masters said.

"It's for a really serious cause."
