Train lines reopen after ammunition found on track

Train services in Wiltshire are running again after ammunition was found on the railway line.
Great Western Railway (GWR) said services between Westbury and Chippenham via Melksham were disrupted earlier after ammunition was found near the railway line.
Wiltshire Police said it responded to reports that a suspected military ordnance had been found on tracks near Dursley Road, Trowbridge around 03:30 GMT by a GWR employee.
"As a precaution a bomb disposal team from Tidworth was called to remove the ammunition and make the area safe," said a police spokesperson.
Police have safely removed the device and train lines have reopened.
