Man in 90s dies in hospital after being hit by car

A man in his 90s has died in hospital after being hit by a car in an East Sussex town, police have said.

The pensioner was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital after the incident outside the Langham Hotel on Royal Parade, Eastbourne, at about 17:50 GMT on 7 November.

The man, from Wadhurst, died four days later.

The driver of a grey Volkswagen Polo, a 33-year-old from Eastbourne, was uninjured.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
