A distribution centre and storage facility, spanning seven buildings, will be built on a field.
A planning application was submitted to convert land in Fengate, Peterborough, into 29 industrial units up to 1,093 sq m in size.
The plans, external also proposed a new access point for the site off Edgerly Drain Road and parking provision for 308 spaces.
The site would operate between 07:00 to 22:00 to prevent adverse impact on neighbouring properties from noise levels.
Peterborough City Council’s planning team approved the plans and developers have until three years to start on the development.
The site is located near Flag Fen - a Bronze Age historic archaeological site.
Concerns were initially raised by Historic England about "the level of archaeological information submitted with the application and the absence of a detailed assessment of the potential impact of the proposed development on the setting of the Flag Fen scheduled monument".
However, it later said its concerns were "largely addressed" after an additional application was submitted with comments a council archaeologist
An objection was also raised by the council’s tree officer who said: “The site is being over developed at the expense of a suitable and appropriate landscaping scheme to help both screen and break up and enhance the proposed development site, despite the future nature of the surrounding sites.”
The plans received no objections from the Local Highways Authority or Peterborough City Council’s pollution team.
