A total of 25 Guernsey charities and non-profit organisations will benefit from an annual round-island work, it has been announced.

The 2025 Saffery Rotary Walk, which is set to take place on Saturday 7 June, follows a 39-mile (62.8km) coastal path around the island.

Organisers said it was "one of the most anticipated charity events in the local calendar" and the 2024 event supported 21 charities.

Chairman Simon Milsted said the event brought islanders together "in support of extraordinary causes".

"Thanks to the immense support of our sponsors, every penny raised by walkers is available for our beneficiary charities," he said.

"By signing up for the walk, you're not just taking on a personal challenge, but also contributing to a collective legacy that will benefit countless people across the bailiwick."

'Truly rewarding day'

Charities that will receive funds from the walk include Alderney Animal Welfare Society, Girlguiding Guernsey, Les Bourgs Hospice and Wellbeing Animals Guernsey.

Lisa Vizia, director at Saffery Trust, said participants would experience a "truly rewarding day".

"Together, we can create real change for these deserving causes," she said.
