More than 40 firefighters have been tackling a large fire that has broken out at a waste site.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to the incident at Lean Quarry in Horningtops, near Liskeard, at about 05:30 BST.
People living nearby have been warned to keep their windows and doors closed due to a large smoke plume. They have also been urged to avoid nearby roads.
A spokesperson for the fire service said crews would be at the site "for a prolonged period".

More than 10 vehicles and 40 firefighters have been involved the blaze
Station manager Scott Brown is incident commander and said 42 firefighters, four pumps and seven special vehicles were at the scene.
He said: "We have got a large seat of general waste inside the building that is fully involved in fire. It is not just a case of the next few hours - it could extend beyond that.
"We are currently in consultation with the site management, with Public Health England and the Environment Agency looking at mitigating all risk to the surrounding area and the public."
