Festive attraction returns to city centre

The event has become a fixture of the city's festive period

Nottingham's annual festive city centre attraction, the Winter Wonderland, has opened.
It features a rooftop bar, ice rink, giant observation wheel and toboggan slide along with live music and festive stalls.
There is also a separate rink for children, designed to make the experience suitable for all ages.
Organisers said much of the event was free and it hoped it would boost footfall for all of the city centre.

Organisers said they had brought in a few new attractions along with old favourites
James Mellors, director of Mellors Group, which organises the event, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be bringing Nottingham Winter Wonderland back once again.
"It's an event that holds a very special place in the heart of the city."
The event will run until 31 December, only being closed on Christmas Day.
