A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash.
Police and paramedics were called to Sturmer Road on the A143 in Haverhill, Suffolk, near the Esso petrol station, just after 13:30 BST on Thursday.
A car towing a mini digger on a trailer collided with a man in his 30s who was then taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridgeshire in a serious, but stable condition, according to Suffolk Police.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving before being released on bail.
