A busy roundabout in Nottingham is to be shut to traffic for two weekends as repairs to a bridge continue.

National Highways said the A52 roundabout, near the Queen's Medical Centre, would be fully closed from 20:00 GMT on Friday 24 January to 06:00 on Monday 27 January.

It will also be closed between 20:00 on 7 February to 06:00 on 10 February.

The bridge was damaged when it was hit by a lorry transporting an excavator in 2018.

Diversions will be put in place while the repair work is carried out.

National Highways said it expected to complete the long-running project by this summer.
