Cyclist seriously injured in crash involving car

The crash involving a cyclist and car happened in Wilford Street on Friday

A cyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash involving a car in Nottingham city centre.
Emergency services were called to Wilford Street at about 06:25 BST on Friday.
The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, Nottinghamshire Police said.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop, drug driving and drink driving.
The road was closed for more than 14 hours and reopened at 20:50 BST on Friday.
Anyone with information about the crash or dashcam or CCTV footage, has been asked to contact the force.
