A temporary creative space will provide free activities for young people in Sleaford this September.

The Zone, a pop-up youth facility, will be installed in Market Place from 18 to 21 September. It is open to people aged between 11 and 18-years-old.

Run by Zest Theatre, it will provide creative workshops and activities, games and relaxed places for young people to enjoy.

North Kesteven District Council Leader Richard Wright said The Zone would offer teenagers "a safe and inclusive space to connect, build confidence, and feel part of the local community".

The space previously visited the town in June, when over 250 young people took part in activities.

Music and dance

On the Thursday and Friday, The Zone will be open between 15:00 and 19:00 GMT, and 11:00 to 17:00 at the weekend.

A teenage market will take place alongside The Zone on the Saturday, offering young people a platform to test their entrepreneurial skills and meet potential new customers.

On the same day, Shug Studios recording and rehearsal space will bring young singers, bands, and artists to perform live.

The Hub in Sleaford will also host a free dance workshop in connection with The Zone for young people over the age of 11.
