A tourism boss has praised the introduction of several scenic routes that will promote the "exploration of Jersey’s picturesque landscapes".

It comes following the partnership of Liberty Bus and Great Scenic Journeys.

Tricia Warwick, chief executive of Visit Jersey, said she was "delighted to see the tie up".

A spokesperson for Liberty Bus said the routes would promote the island "as a prime destination for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers".

The partnership highlights several scenic routes, including:

Route 1: St. Helier to Gorey Pier

Route 3: St. Helier to Jersey Zoo

Route 4: St. Helier to Bonne Nuit Bay and Bouley Bay

Route 7: St. Helier to Devil’s Hole

Route 9: St. Helier to Greve de Lecq

Route 14: St. Helier to St Brelade’s Bay (Open Top Bus)

Route 22: St. Helier to L’Etacq

Kevin Hart, director of Liberty Bus, said the idea was: “To showcase the experience of bus travel in Jersey, not just for visitors but more importantly for our locals.”

Discussing the number 14 route, he added: "It's our beach bus route. It is probably one of the most scenic routes.

"You'll see beach all the way along, St Aubin - it's picturesque."
