Police officers encountered a television presenter and former motorcycle racer while dealing with a car crash.

The North West Leicestershire policing team said they had been called to Ashby Road in Moira just before 17:45 BST on Thursday to reports of a car colliding with a wall.

A request was made for the vehicle to be removed and Crouch Recovery arrived along with Guy Martin, who was filming an episode of Guy Martin's Proper Jobs, which is shown on U&Dave, a force spokesperson said.

Police confirmed there were no life-threatening or life-changing injuries reported in relation to the crash and no-one was arrested.

In a post on their Facebook page, North West Leicestershire Police said: "It's not every day you get to meet someone famous."
