Two men arrested after fatal 'hit-and-run'

Two people have been arrested after a man died following a suspected hit-and-run, police have said.

The incident happened before 04:30 BST on Friday on the A16 Sibsey Road, Boston, Lincolnshire, near to the Pilgrim Hospital.

Lincolnshire Police said they believed the 53-year-old who died was a pedestrian and was hit by a vehicle.

A 49-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail. A 34-year-old man was also arrested and has been released under investigation.

The force said the investigation is ongoing and is appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
