Ferries at risk as gale force winds forecast

Two sailings between the Isle of Man and Lancashire are at risk on Friday with strong to gale force winds forecast.

The 19:15 GMT Manxman sailing to Heysham and her 01:45 return on Saturday are currently subject to disruption.

A decision will be made on whether the sailings goes ahead by 17:00 GMT on Friday.

Friday's 08:00 Manxman sailing to Heysham and her 13:45 return have been moved forward by 30 minutes.

The ferry will now leave at 07:30 and return at 01:15.

Strong to gale force winds are forecast for Friday, with gusts of up to 50mph (80km/h).
