Death of woman found in park 'unexplained'

An investigation has been launched after a woman's body was found in a park

The death of a woman who was found in a park is being treated as "unexplained" by police.

Suffolk Police officers were called to Sherrington Road Recreation Ground, in Ipswich, at 05:50 BST, after the woman was discovered lying on the ground by a member of the public.

Paramedics attended and declared the woman dead shortly afterwards.

A cordon will remain in place around the site while investigations are carried out.

Police have appealed to anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
