Motorists are being warned of overnight road closures in Grimsby over the next couple of months during work on a junction.

The work at the junction of Great Coates Road, Wybers Way and Larmour Road is due to start on 8 September and is expected to run for eight weeks, until 31 October.

Temporary traffic lights will be in operation between 07:00 and 19:00 during that period.

North East Lincolnshire Council said the work would involve "a range of improvements", including moving a traffic island and resurfacing, to "make the area safer for motorists and pedestrians".

The council said, external that once the work was completed, lorries and buses would be able to "navigate the left-hand turn corner from Wybers Way to Great Coates Road", which it said was an issue that had "recently been raised by the community".
