Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning from 16:00 BST on Friday until 18:00 on Saturday, with gusts of up to 65mph (105km/h) expected as Storm Amy hits the island on Friday.

The island's ferry firm has cancelled Friday's return sailing from Lancashire with and the Liverpool sailing's brought forward, with all of Saturday's crossings also affected.

Forecaster have also advised people to be aware of possible on-island disruption due to fallen trees, minor structural damage to properties and flooding on roads due to heavy rain.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has pulled Manxman's crossing to Heysham forward by 30 minutes to 07:30, with the Douglas-bound return running 45 minutes earlier than originally scheduled.

It follows changes to sailings on Thursday due to the weather conditions.
