Ferry sailings between the Isle of Man and the north-west of England are facing disruption due to incoming gales.

Thursday's afternoon crossing of the fast craft Manannan to Liverpool has been brought forward by seven hours to 08:15 BST, with its return now set to depart at 12:30.

Daytime sailings to Lancashire have also been affected, with the morning sailing to Heysham Port and its Douglas-bound return both set to run 30 minutes early.

Ronaldsway Met Office has warned of gale force winds, potentially developing into severe gales as the day progresses.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has also warned of possible further disruption to services with the arrival of Storm Amy at the weekend.
