The search for two 32-year-old sisters missing in Aberdeen is now focusing on river banks, say police.

Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, originally from Hungary, were last seen in Market Street at Victoria Bridge at about 02:12 last Tuesday.

The two sisters - part of a set of triplets - live in Aberdeen city centre, after moving to Scotland about 10 years ago.

Police Scotland has been searching around the River Dee down to the coast. This is now focusing on the river banks downstream from Wellington Bridge.

The search has involved divers, a police helicopter and search dogs.

It is understood there is nothing, at this stage, to suggest it is a suspicious incident.

The Huszti family offered thanks to those searching for their efforts to find the sisters.

Their brother, Jozsef, told BBC News last week that their mother had been in contact with the women a few days before their disappearance.

He said they seemed fine and nothing appeared out of the ordinary.

Other sister Edit said she spoke to them on a video call on New Year's Eve and they appeared happy and cheerful.

Edit said it was out of character for them to be out on the streets in the early hours of the morning.

Eliza and Henrietta are described as being white, of slim build, with long, brown hair.
