Ex-Reform councillor charged with harassment

Robert Bloom was elected to North Northamptonshire Council in May but stood down in August

An ex-Reform UK councillor has been charged with two counts of racially or religiously aggravated harassment without violence.
Robert Bloom, 43, of Weldon Road in Corby, was elected to North Northamptonshire Council in May.
He was arrested on Wednesday following an allegation of a racially aggravated public offence near his home address.
He has been released on bail until 13 November, when he is due to appear before Northampton Magistrates' Court.
Mr Bloom stood down as a councillor on the Reform UK-controlled unitary authority in August, leading to a by-election in the Lloyds & Corby Village ward last week.
