Woman charged over fatal car crash

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal crash in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, last year.
Emergency services were called to reports of a crash involving a 68-year-old pedestrian and a white Ford Puma on the A721 Bellshill Road at the Logans Road junction at about 21:10 on Sunday 17 March.
The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he later died.
Police said the female driver of the Ford Puma will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.
