Jersey Post has released a set of six stamps to celebrate the island's rich history of shipbuilding.

During the 19th Century, Jersey was a central hub for shipbuilding due to the need for vessels for global voyagers, cod fishing, wartime, and local trade.

The History of Shipbuilding in Jersey set includes six stamps, a souvenir sheetlet, first-day covers and presentation packs.

The design on the stamps features six line drawings of people, places and ships instrumental to the rise of the industry. The products are available to purchase online or in the island's main post offices.
