Driver seriously hurt after car hits tree off M3

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after the car he was driving crashed into a tree off the M3.
It happened between junction 6 for Basingstoke and junction 5 for Hook shortly after 22:20 BST on Friday.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said the silver Honda Civic hit a tree after leaving the northbound carriageway.
A number of vehicles, including a motorcyclist who police believe stopped at the scene but left without leaving their details, were urged to contact the force.
Hampshire police is keen to hear from anyone with information or dashcam footage of the Honda Civic or motorcyclist.
The motorway was closed overnight between junctions 5 and 6. It reopened both ways at about 07:00.
