Cornwall Council said some of the dogs found abandoned on Bodmin Moor had been rehomed

No owner has been found for six dogs found abandoned on moorland in Cornwall.

Cornwall Council had launched an appeal after the dogs were found on Bodmin Moor near the village of St Neot and three others near Altanun on 14 October.

The authority said the dogs were found in good condition and were being looked after in kennels.

It said: "The dogs will now be rehomed and have been passed to rehoming partners.

"Some have already found their forever homes."

Anyone who recognises the dogs or may have information relating to how they came to be on the moor was asked to contact the community protection team at the council.
