Man seriously hurt in crash as car fails to stop

A pedestrian has been seriously injured in a crash in a Surrey village which involved a car which failed to stop, police have said.

It happened on Brockham Lane, Brockham, at around 23:45 BST on Tuesday.

A 59-year-old man was taken to hospital with "life-changing" injuries, Surrey Police said.

A force statement said officers were "particularly keen to speak to the driver of a light blue, three-door hatchback which we believe was in the area at the time".

Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
