Officer arrested over alleged historic sex offence

Police are investigating the allegation

A serving police officer has been suspended from duty by Guernsey Police after he was arrested on suspicion of a historic sexual offence.

Guernsey Police said the officer was arrested on 26 August.

A spokesperson said: "He was immediately suspended from duty.

"An investigation is now ongoing."
