Head teacher sexually abused 'vulnerable' pupils

A "calculated" head teacher who "repeatedly" sexually assaulted students at schools in Buckinghamshire has been banned from the profession.
Angus Blackmore was jailed for more than four years in September 2023 after being found guilty of five child sex offences at Aylesbury Crown Court on 31 July 2023, according to a Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) report.
The 61-year-old abused two pupils while a deputy head teacher at Hamilton Academy and head teacher at Beechview School, both in High Wycombe, the agency added.
During a misconduct meeting, held on 7 January, the TRA panel also said he had "seriously exploited his position of trust" and his actions amounted to "serious sexual misconduct".
'Deliberate and calculated'
Blackmore was charged with four counts of sexual assault of a female child under 13 and one count of sexual communication in June 2020.
The offences were committed between September 2015 and June 2018 and, according to the TRA panel, were "not only deliberate but also calculated".
It was also concluded Blackmore had used his "professional position to exploit" young children whom he had been entrusted with looking after and caring for.
Blackmore, who is said to have showed a "lack of remorse and insight" throughout his trial, was prohibited from teaching indefinitely in England.
Due to the "seriousness" of the offences the TRA also ruled he will never be permitted to apply to re-join the profession.
