Four people had to be evacuated from a building in Bristol after it caught fire.

Avon Fire and Rescue Service said four fire crews are still on the scene, on Stapleton Road near Easton Leisure Centre.

Nobody was hurt and the four residents are all safe, the service added.

Firefighters remain at the scene to contain the blaze at the building, which has a café on the ground floor and accommodation above.

The road will be closed for the next few hours, while emergency services are at the scene.
