Lorry trailer destroyed in fire under bridge

Dozens of people called 999 to report the flames on Sunday evening

A lorry trailer has been destroyed in a fire that sent plumes of smoke across Southampton.
Crews were called to Oakbank Road beneath the Itchen Bridge at about 19:00 BST on Sunday.
The flames spread to nearby vegetation before being brought under control, Hampshire fire service said.
More than 40 emergency calls were made about the blaze. It is not yet known how the fire started.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has been contacted for further information.
